By the end of the season, 12 artists will have created (live from the Bell Centre) artwork showcasing their take on the rivalry between the Montreal Canadiens and the team they'll have faced each Saturday. After Toronto set a women’s hockey attendance record in February, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced that an upcoming game between the PWHL Montreal and PWHL Toronto teams will be moved to the Bell Centre, where hometown fans will get a chance to beat that record.

According to a press release, the game — set for April 20 and dubbed the "Duel at the Top" — was originally scheduled to be played at Verdun Auditorium, which holds 4,114 seats. This is in line with the types of venues where PWHL games have typically taken place so far. The Bell Centre — which has a hockey capacity of over 21,000 — provides an upgrade of more than 16,000 seats.

CF Montreal has unveiled its schedule for the 2024 soccer season, presented by BMO, and Inter Miami will be facing off against CF Montreal next May — meaning Argentinian soccer legend Lionel Messi will be showcasing his skills on Montreal turf.

The 2024 season kicks off on February 24 and will run up until October 19. While Montreal soccer fans will be able to watch CF Montreal play a total of 17 matches at Saputo Stadium, there's one game in particular that any sports aficionado will want to be at.

Following 12 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL), Montreal Canadiens player Paul Byron is officially retiring as a pro hockey player. Byron, who proudly sported a number 41 Habs jersey, released a statement on Wednesday, September 20, detailing his decision to step away from playing the sport professionally.

"After many months of processing what is best for my health and the future of my family, I have decided to retire as a professional hockey player. Through many extended attempts of rehabilitation, therapy, visiting and speaking to different doctors, and trying everything to make it back to the game I love, the decision had become clear," Byron wrote.

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was back in Montreal for the ultimate hockey surprise on August 23, 2023. Sitting patiently behind a curtain at the Montreal Canadiens Hockey School in Brossard, Price walked out to surprise young hockey fans and the kids' reactions were too adorable.

The group of hockey school students immediately gasped at the sight of Price, who walked in sporting an all-black Under Armour sweatsuit. Smiles, cheers, and applause echoed across the room as the kids got up out of their places to embrace the Habs goalie.

Montreal Canadiens right winger Brendan Gallagher is officially engaged. During a trip out west to Whistler this past weekend, the Habs player dropped to one knee and proposed to his girlfriend Emma Fortin.

Sporting baby blue Nike dunks, boyfriend jeans and a Louis Vuitton bag to match, Fortin didn't seem to hesitate one bit before saying yes. The duo have been dating since January 2022 and are nothing short of being total couple goals. David Reinbacher has officially signed on with the Montreal Canadiens — and the sweet moment was captured on camera. Habs general manager Kent Hughes announced on July 5 that the team agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the defensemen.
