A voter guide containing a slew of candidate information and other voting resources ahead of Michigan’s Aug. 6 primary is now live.

Created through a partnership between MLive Media Group and the League of Women Voters of Michigan Education Fund, the guide is located at Vote411.org/Michigan and includes information on all state and federal races in Michigan, as well as local ballot proposals and many county and local races.

The website is run by the League, and MLive has again partnered with the nonpartisan organization to develop the voter guide.

Voters can input their address at Vote411.org/Ballot to find a personalized list of ballot proposals and races that they’ll help decide Aug. 6.

Under each race for office, voters can see responses directly from the candidates about their experience, why they’re running and their policy platforms.

All responses in the voter guide were submitted directly by the candidate and have not been edited by the League of Women Voters, except for necessary cuts if a reply exceeded character limitations. Spelling and grammar were not corrected. Publication of candidate statements and opinions is solely in the interest of public service and should NOT be considered as an endorsement. The League never supports or opposes any candidates or political parties.

The League launched Vote411 in 2006. In addition to candidate information, the website assists voters in finding polling locations and hours, learning how to register to vote and more. The website is also available in Spanish.

MLive will continue to publish stories throughout the 2024 election cycle on statewide and federal races along with local races in and around Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Ann Arbor, Jackson, Bay City, Saginaw and Flint.

MLive’s coverage this year on races and election issues around the state can be found at this link.
