TheRide granted $25 million to fund zero-emission buses, refueling stations

ANN ARBOR, MI - The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority, also known as TheRide, was awarded a $25-million grant to support its transition to zero-emission buses.

The grant is a part of a Federal Transit Administration program affiliated with President Joe Biden’s Investing in America initiative. The federal initiative has contributed $1.5 billion in 117 grants across 47 states, said FTA Acting Administrator Veronica Vanterpool on Tuesday, July 9.
