Wisconsin woman dies after ORV crash in Upper Peninsula

DELTA COUNTY, MI – A Wisconsin woman died after the driver of an off-road vehicle crashed in the Upper Peninsula.

Michigan State Police from Gladstone responded to the scene on 28 Road approximately one-fourth mile west of Highway 13 in Delta County at 3:15 p.m. on July 7.

CPR and additional life saving measures were attempted by Tri-Star EMS and Rampart EMS, but the woman, a 57-year-old from Ladysmith, Wisconsin, died at the scene.

She was the passenger on the ORV, police said. The condition of the driver, a 53-year-old male from Rapid River who is the brother-in-law of the woman, was not reported.

The incident remains under investigation. Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Department of Natural Resources.
