TRAVERSE CITY, MI - If you’re a whiskey fan who loves being the first to try new sips, then this year’s Cherry Whiskey Fest might have double the fun for you.

Traverse City Whiskey Co. is hosting its fifth-annual Cherry Whiskey Fest on Saturday, July 13. The festival will begin at noon at The Stillhouse, 201 E. 14th St. Tickets are $35 at the door, or you can find them at a lower price on the website here.

Tickets include a Barrel Proof Cherry Whiskey sample, a cocktail and a special whiskey glass. Ticket holders will also be entered into a raffle for a VIP Experience.

“This year’s event, which celebrates all things cherry, also kicks off the release of TCWC’s award-winning Barrel Proof Cherry Whiskey,” staff said. “Plus, for the first time, a special nine-year single barrel cherry whiskey (a.k.a the Heritage Edition), is available exclusively to attendees.”

There will food trucks on site. The live music lineup includes the Bootstrap Boys and the Whiskey Charmers.

The small-batch distillery’s team is celebrating two releases at this festival. Fans of Traverse City Whiskey Co. have come to expect its signature whiskeys like its Lakeside Peach, Michigan Apple and North Coast Rye. The company also produces a line of Whiskey Highball seltzers and its Barrel Proof Whiskey collection.

The 6th annual Barrel Proof Cherry Whiskey will be the one released at this weekend’s festival. “Our core Barrel Proof Cherry Whiskey remains a standout, blending several hand-selected barrels to create a perfectly balanced and robust flavor profile,” the production team said. “Crafted with the freshest cherries from our orchard, this whiskey captures the essence of Northern Michigan in every sip.”

Then comes the exclusive sips: The festival will offer its new 9-Year Heritage Edition release. “This unique offering features two single barrels, each aged for an impressive nine years, and then infused with fresh, local cherries. This limited edition boasts an unparalleled depth and complexity, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and vibrant cherry notes that define our whiskey.”
