Strictly Come Dancing has seen it all over its decade on the air, and this weekend one celebrity will add their name to the history books.

For Caroline Flack, Simon Webbe, Mark Wright and Frankie Bridge, they have a chance to be part of ballroom folklore if they can win the final.

Over the years, stars like Alesha Dixon, Harry Judd and most recently Abbey Clancy have all gone the distance and taken home the glitterball trophy.

There have been tears, tassels and plenty of tangos to keep us on the edge of our seats - and every series, only one person gets to add their name to the prestigious list.

Take a look at our rundown of every Strictly winner in history.

Natasha Kaplinksy (Series 1, 2004)

Journalist and TV presenter Natasha won the inaugural series of Strictly a decade ago.

It was the only time the show was ever held during the summer, and she paired with ballroom favourite Brendan Cole as she glided across the dancefloor to victory.

She was consistently the best of the celebrities that year, receiving a series-high score of 37 for her Samba and topping the leaderboard five weeks in a row en route to the final.

Jill Halfpenny (Series 2, 2004)

Later that same year, Jill Halfpenny took home the glitterball trophy as the show held its first December final.

The EastEnders actress battled against the likes of Denise Lewis, Aled Jones and Carol Vordeman and frequently topped the scoreboard, with an average of 33,7.

She also performed the show's first perfect dance, receiving 40 for her incredible Jive with Darren Bennett in the final.

Darren Rough (Series 3, 2005)

The third series saw a sportsman win the competition for the first time as England cricketer Darren Rough went the distance alongside Lilia Kopylova.

He was solid in the competition, and managed to win despite never having had the highest score once.

Both of his best dances came in the final, as he received 36 for both the Foxtrot and Paso Doble.

Mark Ramprakash (Series 4, 2006)

In 2006, Mark Ramprakash made in two in a row for England cricketers as the show expanded to 14 couples.

Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton and ex-Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel were amongst the competition, but Mark and his partner Karen Hardy did enough to win.

Their road to the trophy was given a boost by their perfect Salsa - sound familiar? - and a microphone mishap made them the first couple to restart a routine.

Alesha Dixon (Series 5, 2007)

Onto musicians now as former Mis-Teeq star Alesha Dixon teamed with Matthew Cutler to become champion.

She was joined by EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo and Blue Peter's Gethin Jones in the final, while Kelly Brook withdrew from the competition following the death of her father.

Alesha received the highest score for nine of her routines en route to the trophy, hitting her peak with 39 for both the Cha Cha Cha and Waltz.

Tom Chambers (Series 6, 2008)

Holby City's Tom Chambers faced the toughest Strictly challenge yet with 15 other stars battling to be named champion, but he overcame stiff competition.

The likes of Christine Bleakley and Austin Healey looked storng, but the eventual champion could look back with pride at his Foxtrot (39).

Despite finalists Rachel Stevens and Lisa Snowdon performing three perfect routines between them, Tom's popularity shone through as he won the contest.

Chris Hollins (Series 7, 2009)

BBC sports correspondent Chris Hollins paired with Ola Jordan in a successful second series for the Strictly beauty.

Runner-up Ricky Whittle looked almost unbeatable throughout the contest, but Chris was able to win despite falling short in the eyes of the judges in a couple of his final dances.

The couple's perfect Charleston - which received maximum points - helped them to victory.

Kara Tointon (Series 8, 2010)

EastEnders produced its second Strictly champion in 2010, when actress Kara Tointon won the contest a year after leaving the soap.

TV star Matt Baker and comedienne Pamela Stephenson made the final a close playing field, but Kara was able to stand tall.

She performed the highest-ranked routine on five occasions on her way to the final.

Harry Judd (Series 9, 2011)

The following year, Matt Baker's partner Aliona Vilani went the distance with Harry Judd as the pair danced their way to the trophy.

The McBusted drummer steadily improved as the competition went on, and performed two perfect routines in the final.

His Argentine Tango and Quickstep were more than enough to earn him the title of 'champion', and he returned to the show this series with his band.

Louis Smith (Series 10, 2012)

It was nice seeing Louis Smith back amongst the professional dancers for their routine on Sunday.

The 2012 champion will return for the Christmas special later this month, and viewers will be delighted to see the Olympic gymnast back on the dancefloor.

He performed well throughout, and peaked in the final with his stunning showdance.

Abbey Clancy (Series 11, 2013)

Last year, Abbey Clancy proved she had more skills than her robot-dancing husband Peter Crouch - but we probably could have predicted that.

Teaming with Aljaz Skorjanec, the blonde beauty received maximum marks on two occasions, including a memorable Waltz in the final.

She was the first female celebrity to win since to 2010 - and it remains to be seen whether Caroline Flack or Frankie Bridge will start a trend this year.
