Jimmy Savile abuse victim Dee Coles broke down as she opened up about her ordeal that she suffered at the hands of the disgraced entertainer, revealing that she waited until her mother had died before speaking out against her abuser.

During an interview broadcast on BBC One on Monday night, she bravely revealed why it took her so long to come forward.

"I couldn't tell my mum what happened," she said tearfully.

"It's only because she died that I was able to come forward. I didn't want her to have that image.

"It's almost like, it broke my heart, why should I break hers? One heart was enough."

Dee explained that the abuse started during a holiday to Jersey at a caravan park with her mum.

"Savile was staying in his motor home at the same park," she said.

"I asked for photo with him and he got this girl to take some. He started pulling me into him and thrusting his leg between my legs."

Looking back over the photographs in question, Dee said she can tell by her facial expression that she was extremely uncomfortable.
