Qipco British Champions Day is Flat racing's grand finale with prize money of £2.5 million.
Four Group 1s will be held on Saturday at Ascot – and top horses such as Magical, Stradivarius and Palace Pier are set to compete.
Five Classic winners join them – and they are Serpentine (Investec Derby), Mishriff (French Derby), Even So (Irish Oaks), Search For A Song (Irish St Leger) and Sovereign (last year’s Irish Derby winner).
A total of 87 runners have been declared for the six races, which is a joint-record for the fixture, on soft ground with heavy places.
Frankel was one of its early stars, winning the 2011 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and the Champion Stakes the following year.

1.20 Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup (Group 2) Fujaira Prince 10/1*
All eyes will be on star stayer Stradivarius in the opening contest.
John Gosden's runner is 8lb ahead of his rivals, as he arrives on the back of his Arc seventh.
The race wasn't run to suit him that day, but it was only 13 days ago – and he has been beaten in this on two occasions.
At a short price, he is worth taking on with Fujaira Prince.
The six-year-old oozed class in the 1m 6f handicap at Royal Ascot, before winning the Ebor – and he improved again when runner-up in the Irish St Leger behind the reopposing Search For A Song.
Doing best of those up with the pace, he gave his all and the step up to two miles shouldn't inconvenience him.
1.55 Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes (Group 1) Dream Of Dreams 5/2
Oisin Murphy's mount is tricky to oppose in the shortest race on the card.
He has excelled since being gelded, winning the Hungerford Stakes over an extra furlong and the Sprint Cup at today's trip.
Although he has been defeated in this twice before, he has had a much quieter campaign and wasn't on a roll then – achieving his best ever rating last time out.
Conditions are right up his street, plus he holds a good number of these on form.
Sir Michael Stoute may be short of a few winners this month, but he has had nine places in the last fortnight.
2.30 Qipco British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes (Group 1) Mehdaayih 10/1
Ed Vaughan bows out from training with Dame Malliot trying to give him a first Group 1.
Tactically the race should work out for jockey Hollie Doyle and her mount has some decent efforts on her CV, but this looks highly competitive and stable form suggests punters should look elsewhere.
Mehdaayih is tipped to give Frankie Dettori a winner.
Fifth in the Champion Stakes 12 months ago behind Magical and Addeybb, she finds herself in calmer waters here.
The Group 2 scorer acquitted herself well on her only start of this season, in the Prince of Wales's Stakes, when she picked up a niggle.
Well-regarded by the team at home, she was sent off favourite for the 2019 Oaks at Epsom after taking Chester's version with cut in the ground.
Dettori, who has had success at every Champions Day since 2015, reports her to be working well and this has been her target.
In addition, she is rated only 1lb less than the favourite Wonderful Tonight, so is more than capable of putting in a big run.
3.05 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Group 1) Palace Pier 8/11
Dettori and Gosden again – the show looks set to go on.
Unbeaten in five starts, the son of Kingman is an exceptional performer.
He took the St James's Palace Stakes going away from 2,000 Guineas third Pinatubo and won on a straight track in Deauville's Jacques le Marois.
This has been the long-term plan and this contest has been a good one for horses of his age.

Another key player, Circus Maximus, lost out to the race favourite in France, but he loves Ascot and could be the one to chase him home.
3.40 Qipco Champion Stakes (Group 1) Japan 16/1
The race revolves around the tough-as-teak Magical – and she could be the first horse to win at the meeting three times.
Ten rivals stand in her way of the record.
On what she has achieved, she is a worthy favourite, her Irish Champion Stakes success came at the expense of top class Ghaiyyath.
She has come up against Enable often enough, but this is her chance to shine again on the big stage.
One of three runners for Aidan O'Brien, stablemate Japan has plenty to find on recent form, yet there is a case to be made for him.
The Arc was the big objective for connections and unfortunately he was deprived of a run there.
Fifth behind Magical at Leopardstown, he has not raced with give in the ground this season.
Serpentine should make this enough of a stamina test, while the in-form Colin Keane is doing the steering.
A change of jockey might well spur him on and don't forget, he has the same rating as Magical – he is a Royal Ascot winner after all.
4.15 Balmoral Handicap Raising Sand 14/1
Jamie Osborne's course specialist shaped better than the result at Royal Ascot and is a live contender back over the mile.
A real star for Nicola Currie when she had the 3lb claim, the eight-year-old continued to perform well for her, but his rating crept up to 109.
Back down 2lb, his chance is assisted by the trainer's daughter Saffie Osborne taking the reins this time, as it helps him race off a more competitive weight.
Of course, compared to the likes of Keats and Raaeq, the handicapper knows everything about him, but he's generally very reliable here.
A handicap like this plays to his strengths and his each-way credentials look strong.
