Manchester City head to Chelsea in what is the game of the Premier League weekend.

In the final round of matches before yet another international break, Chelsea will be looking for their second impressive win in a week after winning at Tottenham. But City looked in imperious form in thrashing Bournemouth and Young Boys over the last seven days.

Elsewhere, Erik ten Hag faces a must-win clash as Manchester United face Luton at Old Trafford. The Hatters earned a point against Liverpool last time out and the same result against the struggling Red Devils could be curtains for Ten Hag.

The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle all have winnable games on paper, while Everton will look to continue their recent resurgence away at Crystal Palace. Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson - in his Sportskeeda column - has predicted every result from the Premier League weekend, starting with the Saturday lunchtime clash between Wolves and Spurs at Molineux.

Wolves vs Tottenham

Gary O’Neil’s side saw their impressive run of form ended in controversial fashion by Sheffield United. Wolves conceded an injury-time penalty at Bramall Lane - a decision which an independent panel have now agreed was incorrect.

They’ll have a chance to bounce back against an injury-ravaged Tottenham side. Ange Postecoglou will be without a host of starters, likely including James Maddison. And Arsenal legend Merson thinks that will be a difference in front of a boisterous home crowd.

Merson told Sportskeeda: “This one is a very interesting game. I'll be shocked if Tottenham, with their injuries and suspensions, beat Wolves on Saturday. I was looking at Spurs' situation and they have some bad injuries.

Merson’s prediction: 2-1 to Wolves

Man Utd vs Luton Town

Ten Hag desperately needs a win after the damaging Champions League defeat to Copenhagen. But Merson thinks it will be some welcome relief for the United boss, with Luton their opponents.

The Hatters impressed against Liverpool, but Merson believes they will struggle to replicate that kind of showing two weeks on the spin.

Merson’s prediction: 3-0 to Man Utd

Arsenal vs Burnley

After the controversy surrounding their defeat to Newcastle, the Gunners enjoyed a serene stroll against Sevilla in the Champions League. Merson is predicting much of the same against a Burnley side still struggling to play Vincent Kompany’s progressive brand of football in the Premier League.

“I worry for Burnley. They keep on playing total football and it is not working out for them. It's about time they decided that they're going a different route because something has got to give there.”

Merson’s prediction: 3-0 to Arsenal

Crystal Palace vs Everton

Merson is tipping the Toffees to make it three unbeaten in the league after beating West Ham away from home and holding Brighton at Goodison. Palace’s dynamic duo Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are closing in on full fitness, but that may not be enough to earn a win.

Merson’s prediction: 1-1 draw

Bournemouth vs Newcastle

Newcastle were beaten by Borussia Dortmund in midweek. Merson expects no such issues this time around: “Bournemouth got pummelled by Manchester City last weekend and I don't see them posing much threat to Newcastle this weekend.”

Merson’s prediction: 3-0 to Newcastle

Aston Villa vs Fulham

“They have won 12 Premier League home games on the trot. That's a mighty impressive run and Fulham just don't have the sort of strength to upend such a streak.”

Merson’s prediction: 2-0 to Aston Villa

Brighton vs Sheffield United

The Blades recorded their first win of the season, but Merson insisted that did little more than paper over the cracks. And fresh off the back of beating Ajax in Amsterdam, he is predicting a routine home win for the Seagulls/

Merson’s prediction: 2-0 to Brighton

West Ham vs Nottingham Forest

It has perhaps gone under the radar, but the Hammers are in somewhat of a slump in the Premier League, failing to win since September. Merson thinks that run will end on Sunday against Nottingham Forest.

Merson’s prediction: 2-0 to West Ham

Liverpool vs Brentford

“They've just got to turn up with the right attitude and if they do that, they will win this game quite easily.”

Merson’s prediction: 3-0 to Liverpool

Chelsea vs Man City

Merson was quick to point out that he tipped Mauricio Pochettino ’s side to win at Tottenham. And while not going the whole way this time around, he expects the Blues to cause City some real problems and earn another impressive result.

He said: “Chelsea will cause City problems and vice versa. But I still don't see the Blues winning this one. I'd indeed be shocked if they won this one.”

Merson’s prediction: 1-1 draw
