Liverpool will try to maintain their momentum when they host Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have won three successive matches to revive hopes of securing European football for next season. The Reds have endured a difficult campaign in the Premier League, but appear to have finally found some consistency.

They will be hoping that Tottenham ’s comeback from 2-0 down against Manchester United to draw in mid-week has not revived Ryan Mason’s side ahead of their trip to Anfield. Liverpool are just a point behind Tottenham in fifth with a game in hand, meaning it’s all to play for this weekend.

Here are the latest headlines surrounding the club ahead of kick-off.

Double injury boost

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Diogo Jota and Ibrahima Konate are fit to play against Tottenham.

Jota received a “bad knock” to his back in the 2-1 win over West Ham, but “should be alright”, according to Klopp.

Konate was omitted from the Reds’ squad for their midweek win at West Ham, with Joel Matip coming in and scoring the winner. But the Frenchman is not injured and was merely rested after a busy period of games.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are back in training, while Roberto Firmino remains unavailable with a muscle injury.

Timber has given an interview to De Telegraaf in which he said he was planning to leave Ajax this summer before talking up Lisandro Martinez, throwing up the possibility of a reunion with Erik ten Hag.

“I know how great it is to play alongside Lisandro,” he said. “Though my performances don’t depend on him only. We were amazing together, especially with communication. It doesn’t surprise me that he played so good for Manchester United before his injury.”
