The end of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 is in sight with the last few matches scheduled for the coming days.

Tonight (Tuesday, July 9) Spain will go up against France with the winner going through to the final. Meanwhile, on Wednesday night England faces the Netherlands for what is sure to be a tense game.

The Three Lions' win against Slovakia on Saturday in penalties has managed to keep the dream alive that football really could be ‘coming home’. However, despite England being a neighbour of Scotland, it seems the rivalry between the two teams is alive and well after their team was kicked out in the qualifying stages of the competition.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a user revealed he had been documenting the passive-aggressive ritual of one local who had decided to support every team that played against the English.

Sharing photos of all the different flags that had been proudly placed outside their home in the lead-up to the matches, they wrote: “Our flag journey so far,” alongside emojis of all the different nations flags.

Other users were delighted with the silent protest and rushed to congratulate the anonymous homeowner. One person replied: “This house is in danger of becoming Scotland’s biggest tourist attraction.” Someone else commented: "I respect that level of commitment to hatering." And a third user wrote: "That's a level of petty we should all aspire to."

Another person added: “Netherlands should take care of them for good.” However, others insisted their support had actually benefited the English. One X user penned: “Hope they keep it up, it's a good luck charm now.”

It seems it’s not just Scots who are keen to see Euro 2024 done and dusted for the summer as Dani Dyer admitted she’s been left 'exhausted' by the competition and 'ready' to have her football pro partner partner Jarrod Bowen back home.

The Love Island star travelled with her children to watch Jarrod's recent games and revealed it was 'hard travelling with little ones' but added it was 'worth it'. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, the mother-of-three participated in a quick Q&A session with her 3.7 million followers.

Dani, 27, became a mum to son Santiago with ex-partner Sammy Kimmence in January 2021, while she and the West Ham United star, also 27, welcomed identical twin girls Summer and Star in May 2023.
