A restaurant had a heartfelt response for a customer on Tripadvisor after they left an unimpressed review earlier this week.

The customer slammed he restaurant in Galway, Ireland, as "a victim of its own success". But not before labelling the dish they had eaten as the "best fish chowder ever."

The reviewer then went on to suggest that the restaurant's customers had been "segregated" during their visit, reports GalwayBeo. The full review read: "Best fish chowder ever. Victim of its success, the service can be selective with their clients. I had the impression we were being segregated.

"But were rewarded by our delicious chowder. Should offer a better treatment to all your clients, we all pay the same price, don't we?" The reviewer gave the popular restaurant a lowly two out of five stars overall.

In a polite reply to the post, however, the restaurant said "thank you" and thanked the customer for reminding them of the importance of customer service and vowed to provide excellent service. Its reply read: "Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our fish chowder and that you found it to be the best you've ever had.

"We deeply value all of our customers and their experiences, and we sincerely apologise if you felt that the service was selective during your visit. That was not our intention, and we're genuinely sorry for any discomfort you may have experienced. We strive to provide excellent service to all our customers, and we take your feedback seriously.

"Your comment reminds us of the importance of ensuring that every customer receives the same level of attention and care. We are committed to addressing this issue internally and working on improvements to ensure that all our customers feel equally valued and welcomed. We hope you'll give us another opportunity to serve you in the future and experience a warm and welcome service."
