First picture of tragic teen killed in crash as family pays heartbreaking tribute

The first picture of a tragic teenager who died after a crash has been released by her family.

Bright and ambitious university student Rebecca Davies was rushed to hospital along with three others following the two-car crash last Thursday evening but she could not be saved.

The 19-year-old, from Goytre, in Monmouthshire, south east Wales, was studying biochemistry at the University of Birmingham while also volunteering with St John Ambulance and St Mary's Hospice.

She planned to go on to train as a doctor, with her loved ones paying tribute to their "shining star that will never fade" with a heartfelt message, reports Wales Online .

They added: "She made us so proud."

The crash happened on the A4042 between Goytre and Llanellen(MEDIA WALES)

 

Following the crash on the A4042 in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, a woman, 52, and a man, 63, both also from nearby Goytre, were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital, with serious injuries but stable.

The crash had involved a blue Suzuki and a pink Peugeot, with the driver of the latter, a 31-year-old woman from Cardiff, in a critical condition at the same hospital.

The tribute from Rebecca's family goes on to say: "Our daughter was beautiful inside and out.
