'People told me not to paint my bathroom black – but are stunned when they see it'

You don't see that many bathrooms painted black.

And when one woman told people she was going to do exactly that to her bathroom, many warned her not too.

However, Alexandra Levy, who posts content on TikTok under the handle @alexandralevyinteriors, left other social media users stunned when she showed off the results of her bathroom makeover.

The brunette is known for sharing content on home, design and interiors with her bio saying: "Bringing you inspired LUXE design for LESS." And in one of her latest videos, she decided to show her followers what she had done to her bathroom.

The video started by showing a plain white bathroom fearing a white toilet and metal toilet roll holder as well as a drawing of Katherine Hepburn on the wall. The camera then panned around to show a white sink with a gold mirror above it. Written over the scene was the words: "Me: I want to paint it black. Them: You're insane."

Viewers were then shown Alexandra's bathroom after the DIY makeover, which showed she had painted the walls black, installed gold fittings on the white units and added plants, chic lighting accessories and gold-framed drawings.

Captioning the post further, Alexandra told followers: "Don't be afraid to make bold choices."

The video has racked up hundreds of likes and also attracted comments from viewers, with one person branding it "perfection". Another exclaimed: "Love it," while a third agreed: "Love this! Never a bad idea."

As well as TikTok, Alexandra also shares her home decor tips over on Instagram under the same @alexandralevyinteriors handle, with her boasting a whopping 169,000 followers on the site.
