Shayne Rowland, known on TikTok as @proflex.health, shared a video outlining three potential reasons for this. He emphasised that the plethora of information available can often be overwhelming, and highlighted three key aspects to consider both before and during your weight loss journey.

1. Too much information

The coach said: "The first thing is information overload. There's so much information out there - including all of the stuff I put on my page."

2. How to apply what you know

Talking about information overload, he adds: "You don't actually know how to implement that information. We can gather bits and pieces from different people and some of its great advice but when it comes to our situation, we don't actually know how to apply it.

He adds: "It can feel so overwhelming for what you need to do for your specific goal to the point that you don't even start."

3. Accountability

Lastly, you haven't got any accountability. He concludes: "You've probably told yourself time and time again that tomorrow is the day, you're going to move into action, you're going to start making some changes.

"But because you've got no one to hold you accountable, it's only yourself that you're letting down. That's why having some accountability, especially in the beginning phase of your weight loss journey is super important to help you get some momentum."
