Man City beat Real Madrid on their way to Champions League glory last season at the semi-final stage.

After a draw in Spain, Pep Guardiola’s men made light work of Los Blancos on home soil, booking their spot in the final where they then overcame Inter Milan.

The UCL curse hanging over City is now broken and they remain the favourites for this year’s competition too.

Real have a comfortable hold on the La Liga title race which gives them more breathing room ahead of this tie, whereas their opponents have Liverpool and Arsenal to deal with on a domestic front.

Real Madrid vs Man City Prediction

Real Madrid have the historical advantage on their side when it comes to the pinnacle of European football.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men are just as impressive when playing within Spain, after all, their last defeat came back in January at the hands of Atletico Madrid, in mid-January.

13 games unbeaten is the lay of the land for Real in all competitions whereas City’s stretches as far as 25, Aston Villa inflicting the last loss up in Birmingham.

The first leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu and avoiding defeat will be the primary goal for Guardiola, setting them up for an ideal return game.

A score draw that allows City to be on top when the pair meet in Manchester may well be on the cards.

Real Madrid vs Man City Tips

Rodrygo to score first @ 8/1 Sky Bet

Brazilian youngster Rodrygo scored both goals as Real beat Athletic Club 2-0 in their last outing.

This takes the winger’s tally of contributions to 15 for the La Liga campaign, plus he has an additional five in the UCL, so Sky Bet offering odds of 8/1 for him to open the scoring on Tuesday is a worthwhile punt.

Correct score 1-1 @ 6/1 William Hill

As has been previously alluded to, this game seems set up well for a draw.

Both sides don’t tend to lose all that often and so a score draw, at 1-1, can be found at 6/1 with William Hill.
