Sophie Turner considered giving up baby after becoming pregnant with Joe Jonas

Sophie Turner admits she considered giving up her baby after falling pregnant with her and ex-husband Joe Jonas' first child.

The Game of Thrones actress wasn't sure about becoming a mum in her early 20s, weighing up her options at the time. She details the complicated process in a new interview, revealing for the first time fears of being pregnant at a "frivolous" time.

Sophie recalls finding out she was expecting a child while at a retreat in Bali, keeping the news to herself before telling therapists onsite. The 28-year-old remembers throwing her pregnancy test at Joe, asking him: "What do you think we should do?"

She probed: "Do you think we should have it?" Sophie tells British Vogue she didn't know if she wanted to be a mother at the time. Eventually, she switched-up her mindset, and the couple welcomed their daughter Willa in July 2020, with the pair going on to become a family of four less than two years later after welcoming second daughter, Delphine.

After initial fears when she first fell pregnant, it was actually Sophie's idea to have their second child. "Because my ex and I travel so much, I wanted Willa to have a sibling." She added to the outlet: "I wanted them to have each other. They're so much fun, total girlie girls and absolute rays of sunshine in my life." Sophie and Joe have now split.

The singer filed for divorce in September and the pair are now battling over custody of their two daughters. It comes as Sophie has admitted her divorce lead to "the worst few days of my life". She has spoken out about the media storm surrounding the split, as she admitted she struggled with "mom guilt" while trying to keep her private life private.

"I mean, those were the worst few days of my life. There were some days that I didn't know if I was going to make it. And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, she [my lawyer] reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for. Once anyone says to me, 'Do it for your kids,' I’m doing it. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them."

It's claimed Joe "realised" the marriage was over after he allegedly caught Sophie saying or doing something on a Ring camera. It was reportedly the "last straw" for the Jonas Brother member in his apparent decision to file for divorce. Speculation about the pair has included that they allegedly "disagreed on a lot of things". It was also reported that the marriage was described as "irretrievably broken" in divorce paperwork.
