Piers Morgan has claimed that the Royal Family may not regain public trust due to the photo editing scandal involving Princess Kate.

His comments come amid her time away from public duties following surgery, which led to widespread speculation about her well-being. Kate's absence from public life and questions about her health have raised eyebrows and controversy erupted after a Mother's Day picture was edited along with a video showing Kate and Prince William shopping at a farm shop.

Now, the public's faith in the monarchy has allegedly taken a hit according to Piers Morgan.

Piers criticised the Palace for releasing the heavily altered Mother's Day image, claiming it was an attempt to convince people that Kate is doing well. He spoke candidly to the camera during his interview for TMZ Investigates: Where is Kate Middleton? "None of it makes sense," he shared in the documentary, reports the Mirror US.

Referring to the controversial photo, he said: "The people I blame for this are the palace press team. What were they thinking passing this on to the world's media without making basic checks? "

Piers Morgan has said that the palace shouldn't have shared a photo with so many changes. "The very last thing you should do is issue a picture which has 16-17 edits to it that we know of," Piers commented.

Then, when Kate admitted she was the one who edited the photo, Piers had even more questions. "Why is she taking all this time on a Friday night to self edit a picture that is extremely important? " he questioned.

"You wonder if everything is fine," he remarked, "Seems very strange that you'd go through all those edits."

Piers also said he knows someone close to the Princess of Wales who told him Kate didn't look like the photo when it was taken. "I don't believe that's an accurate depiction of how she looked at the time," he stated.

David Jorgenson from The Washington Post said the Palace hasn't explained why Kate seemed okay walking with William recently in Windsor, which makes people not trust them.

Talking about Kate's role in the Royal family, Paul Burrell, who worked for Princess Diana, spoke about the recent news. He expressed: "I want them to pull through this crisis. I want them to show the world that everything is well within the house of Wales and I want them to go forward because they are our hope for the future. Without them - without Kate - the Royal Family is finished."

Despite reassurances from Kensington Palace about her recovery, fans have speculated that the Duchess of Cambridge is "missing."

These theories arose after she posted a photo on Mother's Day that was later removed by photo agencies due to excessive editing.

On the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Middleton stated: "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused. I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother's Day. C."
