Natalie Portman, 42, giggles with Paul Mescal, 28, at London pub weeks after finalising divorce

Natalie Portman seemed to be having a great time with Paul Mescal as they were spotted laughing together outside a London bar.

The pair spent Tuesday evening together at Bar 69 in Islington and seemed to be in high spirits as they went outside for a cigarette. Their night out comes just weeks after Natalie, 42, finalised her divorce from Benjamin Millepied.

The actress split from Benjamin following reports he cheated on her with a 25-year-old woman. However, she didn't let that ruin her night as she was caught in a fit of giggles with Paul, 28.

In pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, Natalie and Paul both opted for casual appearances. The Black Swan actress looked radiant as she wore a white T-shirt and bleached jeans.

She wore a pair of plain white trainers and wore her hair in loose waves, while opting for a red lipstick and dramatic eyeshadow. Paul also wore a plain white top, which he paired with high-waisted black trousers and Adidas Sambas.

It's currently unclear why the pair were hanging out together in London, but they previously showed off their strong friendship when they interviewed each other last year. Paul described Natalie as a "brilliant" actress during the chat.

During their chat for Variety magazine, he said: "If my drama school self knew that I would be talking to you, I would pinch myself many, many times!"

Natalie and Benjamin quietly finalised their divorce in February after 11 years of marriage. The pair divorced in France, where they lived together as a family. The former couple share two children together - son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, seven.

It was reported that Benjamin had cheated on the Oscar winning actress with 25-year-old Camille Étienne. The cheating rumours started when Benjamin and Camille were photographed leaving his office together.

Shortly after, it was claimed the affair was "short lived" and Benjamin was "doing all he could to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together." Natalie refused to address the rumours during an interview with Vanity Fair.

The Mirror has approached Natalie and Paul's representatives for comment.
