Dame Joan Collins has brazenly called out Harry Styles over an alleged incident between them at the iconic Met Gala back in 2019.

The 90-year-old Hollywood actress and sex symbol has penned a new memoir, Behind The Shoulder Pads: Tales I Tell My Friends. And within the pages of the book, Dame Joan recalls how the former One Direction hunk, 29, left her fuming.

According to the London-born Dynasty icon, the As It Was hitmaker was dancing and singing along to iconic singer Cher, 77, who performed at the famous gala back in 2019, with the tattooed hunk blocking Dame Joan's view of the stage.

Writing in her new book, Joan penned: "Harry Styles jumped on the table in front of us [those sitting on her table], obscuring our view, and took no notice of our entreaties to 'get down, we can’t see'."

She went on: "The sophisticated crowd went mad for her [Cher], standing up whooping and cheering. Bette Midler, wearing a top hat and tailcoat in glittery black sequins, came to our table and boogied with Julianne Moore."

"And I glimpsed Gwyneth Paltrow and Katie Holmes doing the same," Joan continued. She went on: "Cher left after her first number then came back wearing her original Bob Mackie sleek black embroidered bodysuit and a massive black curly wig to sing Believe."

Elsewhere in Joan's book, she addresses the cost of a Met Ball seat. "I loved my first Met Ball, and I would certainly go again in a heartbeat, although at $30,000 [£24,700] a seat, I’ll wait to be invited," she admitted.

The Met Gala, or Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. Organised by Vogue Magazine, the gala sees some of the most famous faces in attendance each year.

The first ever Met was held in 1948. With the next Met Gala due to take place on May 6, 2024.
