At the time Cara shared a picture of her beloved pets on Instagram and wrote: "My heart is broken today. I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have."

However, Cara later discovered that her beloved felines had in fact been rescued as responders battled the blaze writing on her social media. She said: "They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters."

Engines were dispatched following a 911 call just before 4am PST on March 15 and a total of 13 crews and 94 firefighters responded to the blaze thought to have begun in a backroom of Cara's giant mansion purchased back in 2019.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help," Cara added on her Story, also attaching a video of all the firefighters on scene, and her home burning away in the background. Aerial images showed the extent of the damage, showing her home gutted with a collapsed roof.

"There is no indication of an arson or criminal investigation right now," the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed, per Page Six, adding that there was "nothing to suggest that it was criminal activity" at the actress' home.

At the time Cara's mother Pandora Delevingne also admitted that Cara was "devastated" over the fire. She said: "She had everything in her house, her whole life. She built it, she made it. She has everything in it."

Her dad, Charles Delevingne, also gave some clarity on the cause of the fire which he claimed was "electrical," adding that "something fell on a powerline" amid "very windy" weather. An intensive investigation by the arson squad confirmed there was no foul play according to officials after The Los Angeles Fire Department officially ruled the cause "undetermined" due to the extensive damage.
