Stacey Solomon says she doesn't feel pressure to look a certain way by social media - because she thinks she looks "really pretty".

The 34-year-old is known for being honest and upfront on Loose Women and insists she is happy with her natural good looks. And in keeping with being authentic, she said: "This probably sounds weird when I say it, but I think I’m really pretty.

"I know that sounds really big-headed, but I like what I look like. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with me. I don’t necessarily feel like I’m confident in my skin or not confident; I just feel very neutral about what I look like. If I was really bothered by how I looked I could go out and get some work done – and I would if that’s what I wanted – but I just don’t put that much onus on what I see in the mirror. I mean, I’m not Claudia Schiffer! I’m me."

After appearing on The X Factor in 2009, Stacey has carved out a successful TV career and alongside Loose Women is now arguably the queen of DIY TV with BBC's Sort Your Life Out and new Channel 4 series Renovation Rescue.

But on her success she told Radio Times: "It’s all relative. Sometimes my status has been really high and up there, and sometimes it’s been much further down the ladder and I’ve had to ride it out.

"The one thing that’s kept me going for the last 15 years is my family. They have kept me grounded and have reminded me that nothing in life is guaranteed. You’ve got to take opportunities and enjoy them, but the fundamental thing that you need is your family and the people who love you."

And Stacey has insisted she will never let online trolls ruin her day, whatever they say about her. "I find trolls hilarious," she said. "I’ve made peace in my mind with them. Do you know how much effort it is for someone to post a comment? About one percent of the people that see your post will comment. That is a small minority of people. Imagine going to all that effort to say something horrible. It’s almost funny that they’ve used their time and energy because I’m upsetting them that much."
