Rylan Clark has revealed he enjoyed a snog with a rugby player while filming his new show.

Rylan stars in his new show, Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, alongside Rob Rinder and was recently forced to shut down rumours of a romance between the two. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the 35-year-old wrote: "The answer is no. I'm not dating Rob Rinder he's one of my closest friends."

But while Rylan confirmed he's not romantically involved with lawyer Rob, 45, he did reveal a rather heated moment during the show's filming in Italy - but it had nothing to do with his co-star.

On their Italian journey the pair visited cities like Venice and Rome, but Rylan took an unexpected detour in Florence. Rather than sticking with the day's itinerary of art and architecture, he explored the local nightlife and ended up in a steamy encounter.

According to OK!, Rylan said of the experience: "At the end of the Florence episode, I'm getting off with a French rugby player and Rob is dancing on the bar!"

Rylan opened up further about the memorable night out, saying: "That night was never supposed to happen. We went to the one gay bar in Venice and Rob at first said, 'I just don't know how to talk to people.' Within three minutes, he looks at this guy and goes, 'You look like Michelangelo,' and that just sets the night off. The way it ended was just beautiful."

The hit three-part series is set to continue on Sunday and has been winning hearts across social media. Fans have been quick to express their love for the show, with one gushing: "I loved it. It's interesting and educational. Funny and sad. You two are the nicest of people. Your honesty when you both share your experiences and feelings is so emotional. Can't wait for the next episode."

Another added their voice to the chorus of praise, saying: "Best thing I've watched in ages! You pair are the friendship we didn't know we needed! Laughed and cried all through that. Can't wait to see more!" Touched by the overwhelming response, Rylan tweeted: "Wow, we never expected this reaction to the show. Thank you so much for the love. It's so welcome x".

The first episode of Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour saw both TV personalities discussed the pain of their divorces against the backdrop of Italy's beautiful landscapes over a drink. Rylan shared deeply personal insights into his experience, commenting, "I think it was a culmination of my marriage breaking down and actually me stopping for the first time in 10 years". He went on to reveal how he fell into deep despair hinting at suicide attempts and severe eating disorder. "Then, all of a sudden, I hit quite a big speed bump instead of carrying on, I just sunk," he said.

He further revealed: "It was the worst experience of my life. I just went on a downward spiral. I tried to end it, I tried to finish myself off. I didn't eat, I went down to 9st. I'm 6ft 4, Rob, like I look horrendous."

Listening attentively, Rob removed his sunglasses as Rylan continued: "I'm so grateful for what I've got" before confirming that he would willingly "give it all up" to spare his mother the stress caused by his ill health.
