Katie Price's ex husband Kieran Hayler has landed a totally different job as he changes career.
The former stripper, who married Katie in 2013 until their split in 2021, secured a role in a huge TV drama. He will appear in the show that also stars former Doctor Who star Matt Smith in a series set to air later this year. The programme is said to be called The Death Of Bunny Munro and will see six episodes made.
It is based on the book of the same name by singer Nick Cave. Filming has already started in Brighton. A spokesperson for Kieran confirmed the news to The Mirror and said: "Delighted to confirm that Kieran will be appearing alongside a multitude of well known British talent in this brand new show.
"Kieran stars alongside Matt Smith in the series due to air later this year. In a positive career move with further acting roles to follow." A source close to the production clarified to the Mirror that Kieran was employed as an extra in the drama. They told us: “Kieron doesn’t have a role in the show. He came via an extras agency and was in the background of one scene as an extra. No one on production knew who he was.”
Kieran began dating former wife Katie in 2012, with wedding bells in 2013, however it was followed by a split in 2018 and divorce in 2021. The romance included the arrival of now 10-year-old son Jett and nine-year-old daughter Bunny.
Last year, former glamour model Katie declared she “hates” both Peter Andre and Kieran following the collapse of her marriages to them. She recently hit out at her former flames on the Stripping Off with Matt Haycox podcast, as she said: "I've come to realise that relationships have been significant regrets for me. I entered this industry at a young age, and I suppose I was needy and gullible. However, through therapy, I've learned that it's okay to say no to men who want to be with me. In fact, they're the fortunate ones, not me."
Kieran has appeared to become close to another of Katie's exes - Carl Woods. The pair have been spotted together in recent months and back in May attended a polo event together. They looked all smiles as they shared a video of their outing on social media. One of their mutual pals who was with them couldn't help but point out the meeting was "awkward", while jokingly putting a hand to their mouth as the camera panned around.
Kieran and Carl previously celebrated Easter Sunday as a duo - which allegedly left their famous ex furious. "When Katie saw the pics of Kieran and Carl together she texted Carl that he was a 'sad c**t'", a source told The Sun in early April. "She was absolutely fuming because it can’t have been for any reason aside from to have a dig at her." The reality star is currently in a relationship with Married At First Sight's JJ Slater, who is 14 years her junior.
