Holly Willoughby has posted a snap of herself dressed as Barbie just days after leaving This Morning without saying goodbye to viewers.
The 42-year-old host celebrated the hotly-anticipated release of Margot Robbie’s latest Hollywood blockbuster by sharing a throwback picture of her dressed as the iconic Mattel doll.
Holly had chosen to dress up as Barbie for Keith Lemon’s 50th birthday bash back in April, and was decked out in a pink denim jumpsuit teamed with a white cowboy hat, and her blonde hair in loose Barbie-esque waves.
The photo was shared on her lifestyle brand Wylde Moon’s Instagram account, and the caption read: “Anyone else feeling the Barbiemania right now?"
“Love this snap of Holly from Keith Lemon's birthday party back in April. Can we borrow your outfit for the cinema this weekend?” they joked.
The star-studded party was attended by famous faces including Holly’s former This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield, who was dressed as Anchorman’s fictional newsreader Ron Burgundy.
While her husband Dan Baldwin was dressed as a cowboy version of Ken to match her bubbly Barbie costume.
The cheeky snap shared on social media comes just days after Holly concerned viewers of the hit ITV daytime show as she went on her annual summer break without saying goodbye.
Fans were worried if the mum-of-three would ever return to the show after she abruptly exited with no explanation, and was replaced on Monday with Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.
Holly takes her traditional six-week summer break at the end of July, and normally bids farewell to viewers with the promise that she will return in September, but after the scandal surrounding the show, she’s decided to take an extra-long break to focus on her family.
However, her cloak and dagger disappearance has got fans confused, with some even suggesting it would be her final appearance on This Morning.
“She appreciates her family more than ever right now… the last couple of months have been really stressful and it’s highlighted for her the importance of family,” an insider told new! magazine.
