Girls Aloud's first performance as a four-piece as been hit with a snag, with ticket-holders hit with a delay as the band's start-time gets pushed back.

The iconic girl group including Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh proudly announced that their first shows since 2013 would be devoted to celebrating the life of Sarah, who tragically lost her battle with breast cancer in 2021 at the age of 39.

Girls Aloud's first stop off is in Ireland, with the Sound of the Underground hitmakers playing at the Dublin's 3Arena. However, with fans already inside the venue, one ticketholder has told the Mirror that the start-time has been pushed back 30 minutes. The girls were due to appear on stage at 8.45pm but will now not grace fans with their presence until 9.15pm.

The group have since issued an "updated stage time" on Twitter(X) regarding their expected arrival time. It said due to “Dublin motorway closures”, the foursome would arrive 30 minutes later than expected at 9.15pm.

The delay hasn't put fans off. Speaking ahead of the show, Aaron O’Regan, based in Waterford, Ireland, told the PA news agency: "I’m really excited for it! My boyfriend got us tickets last year for our first anniversary so it’s going to be a great night. We love Girls Aloud, it’s fantastic to see them back together again and touring. My boyfriend even got us T-shirts for tonight, it’s going to be so fun!"

Kimberley, 42, affectionately shared during the build-up to the six-week tour: "Our main aim is to do Sarah justice." Earlier this week, Kimberley also offered fans a backstage peek, sharing photos of the all-conquering chart-toppers.

She expressed, "We've had the best time creating this show for you and being back with my girls has been incredibly emotional but so special." Nicola, 38, ensured fans of an unforgettable gig while Nadine, also 38, expressed immense gratitude towards the whole team. She said, "I am full of gratitude and admiration for our entire team. Thank you to everyone up to this point. Now the real fun begins." Cheryl, 40, shared a snapshot of the artists aboard a plane en route to Ireland, excitedly captioning it: "Ready for take-off."

Girls Aloud, who came together on ITV's Popstars: The Rivals back in November 2002 and scoring their maiden No1 that same Christmas, disbanded in 2013 following a string of disagreements. However, in a surprising turn of events last November, they announced they would be reuniting.

The girls, who hosted a 2022 ball in honour of Sarah, have helped raise more than £1million for cancer charities, including The Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.
