During their reign as one of the UK's biggest girl bands following in the footsteps of the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud have always managed to remain on top.

And now, on the back of the success of their UK-wide reunion tour, the band made up of Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Tweedy, are to make a tour documentary of their reunion. The group disbanded back in 2013 and left fans nation-wide is utter despair.

And although the hugely awaited tour has came to an end on June 29, fans can now look forward to a one-off backstage look at the ladies in action. According to The Sun, ITV are said to be filming and airing the show. Inspired by Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, ITV bosses have captured the ladies on stage but there is said to also be emotional elements to the documentary as they remembered Sarah Harding, who was the fifth member of the band but tragically passed away from breast cancer in 2021.

A source told The publication: "There’s a number of options on the table as to how ITV could deliver the final piece. Backstage footage has been captured but bosses feel there’s equal value in presenting the show in its entirety as one, glossy set-piece, just like Taylor Swift ’s Eras Tour."

They added: "Girls Aloud have always felt like ITV’s very own girl band after they were created on Popstars: The Rivals so to be able to celebrate this chapter feels like an honour and everyone is committed to doing it justice. Honouring their legacy as a band and remembering Sarah is so important. However the finished product ends up, it’s going to be a gorgeous piece of TV."

The ladies have been touring for 30-nights and performed their final show in Liverpool last night - and they have not been short of incredible reviews. On their final night, Cheryl brought the show to a standstill as she felt the need to address a comment she had previously made about reuniting with the band.

In what has now become a viral clip from Girls Aloud: Off The Record, Cheryl was seen dismissing the idea of a reunion. She said: "There'll be no reunions though. Could you imagine? 30-odd-year-old 'I'm just a Love Machine' nah." And so, never one to let things go, Cheryl addressed the 11,000 strong crowd as she celebrated her 41st birthday in Liverpool.

She said: "Ok, you might have seen a video of me floating around that is of me saying I would never perform Love Machine in my thirties. Ok but if we're going to go there, last tour I was 29, today I'm 41! I never performed Love Machine in my 30s, HA! Let's go, do we have any love machines in the house tonight?"

The band the started to belt out the song, which proved to be a huge moment for the ladies and the crowd. And Nicola said: "What an honour it is to spend the final night of the tour with Scousers, I've been waiting this whole tour to finally come back to this city!"

While on stage Kimberley teased fans with a potential new album. When asked by a fan in the crowd if she would do another album, she smiled and said: At my age?" But fans noticed that she didn't dismiss the idea, which has now sparked speculation that it could be a project in the pipeline.
