Engelbert Humperdinck admits his feud with Sir Tom Jones shows no sign of ending after nearly 50 years.

The crooners were labelmates at Decca, but fell out in the 1970s and have yet to bury the hatchet - with Sir Tom, 83, calling his old pal the C-word in 2015. Engelbert, 87, said: "It doesn't bother me - the only person it hurts is himself. If you can't say anything good about someone, don't say anything."

The veteran singer, who was born Arnold Dorsey and changed his name to that of a German composer, says his career has taken its toll on his hearing. "Music has deafened me over the years," he says. "If I'm in a room where there's a lot of people, I can't hear you."

"I've been in the business a long time - now people like Rod Stewart and Elton John, we all have to wear hearing aids after a while. When I first started, they weren't perfected. Now it's like being in a recording studio, you hear the music really, really well."

The Release Me chart-topper also insists he's never been under the knife or had Botox. "I have good genes," he says. "My parents had no wrinkles when they were very old."

Engelbert's new single with Azerbaijani star Emin, Help Me Make It Through The Night, features on Emin's new album, Now or Never, which is out now.
