Chrissy Teigen was left red-faced when she mistakenly thought Michael Keaton was a waiter.
At a very boozy Golden Globes, the model remembered she had been "drinking a lot" when her path crossed with the American actor.
In a confessional moment, Chrissy admitted she stole his glass of champagne without recognising who it was.
She explained because the star was stood by the entrance she thought he was a member of staff.
However, her singer husband John Legend had no qualms pointing out she had just taken the glass from the CBS sitcoms star.
It left Chrissy feeling deflated, in a "I could die" of embarrassment kind of moment.
She said on The Tonight Show Share The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon: "God, I'm so embarrassed by it still, I could die... I took it, I drank it, and I left."
Chrissy lifted the lid on what was perhaps her "worst" celebrity encounter at one of the most glamorous showbiz extravaganzas of the year.
"God, I think it was after the Golden Globes — oh no, this might be 'worst.'" She said.
"I was drinking a lot and I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne so I went up and I took it and I said, 'thank you' and my husband goes, 'that was Michael Keaton'."
Jimmy clarified: "It was not someone serving champagne?"
To which she responded, "No it was not."
Chrissy and John have become a power couple in Hollywood.
They often make glamorous appearances at star-studded events throughout the year, at least before the coronavirus pandemic brought the entertainment spheres to a grinding halt.
John has made his fortune as a singing super star while Chrissy shot to fame as a model.
The showbiz couple live at their gorgeous home with their two children Luna and Miles.
