A 33-year-old Instagram influencer has sadly died after a week in hospital after she suffered a double cardiac arrest.
Instagram superstar Larissa Borges tragically died on Monday after spending a week in hospital where she lay in a coma. She was admitted to hospital on August 20 after reportedly suffering a cardiac arrest in Brazil. Her devastated family have been sharing social media updates to her thousands of fans.
Three days before she was hospitalised, Larissa had posted a picture of herself posing in the city of Gramado - where she ultimately suffered cardiac arrest. In the picture, Larissa beamed from ear-to-ear while modelling a puffer coat and checked skirt.
More pictures show the influencer checking out some of the city's best spots including a cinema festival, while her adoring fans commented on her trendy outfits and perfectly posed snaps.
After Larissa was admitted to hospital, her family made the decision to take over her account to keep her fans and followers alike updated on her condition. Naturally, her huge following was left completely shocked by the news, as flocked to the comments to send well wishes, prayers, and love.
On Tuesday, the tragic update that Larissa had died was shared by her devastated family who said she had “fought courageously” for her life. The young woman’s family are now asking for donations to transfer the body from Gramado to her hometown.
One of Larissa's family members wrote: “Any amount, however small, will make a difference and help ease the financial burden facing the family during this very challenging time.”
Local police are reportedly investigating the influencer's shock death after she spent a week in hospital before passing away.
