ABOUT

I am an accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist, clinical supervisor and the co-founder and Clinical Director of The Therapy Yard which is a modern, forward-thinking practice with a team of passionate therapists specialising in relationship therapy and psychosexual therapy. Our therapists and coaches offer psychotherapy, counselling and coaching services. I am also a lecturer on an advanced diploma in couples therapy and an ambassador for Issviva Menopause.

As a relationship therapist and psychosexual therapist, I provide couples counselling, and counselling for individuals who are experiencing difficulties or seeking to understand or enhance their relationships. I work with people of all ages (16+) , backgrounds, cultures and religions to understand and help to overcome a wide range of issues around their sexuality and sex lives. My approach is sex-positive, kink-informed (including consensual non-monogamy) and I warmly welcome LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity and those who have found it difficult to talk about sex and sexuality. I work collaboratively with people to understand themselves, be able to overcome their difficulties and increase their self-confidence.

I have a particular interest in the dynamics of couple relationships and aiding couples to improve them. In addition, I am passionate about helping people to achieve the happy, healthy sex lives they would like. As such, I split my clinical work and CPD between these two areas in order to be able to specialise in both. For example, this may at times mean I have availability for relationship therapy but not sex therapy and vice versa – but I do try and fit people in as soon as I can.

I am extremely passionate about my work and enjoy advancing my knowledge in my chosen field by continuing with professional development and research. I have recently conducted research into understanding the relational impact in heterosexual relationships when the female has higher sexual desire than the male. I am a frequent contributor to the media talking about sex and relationships in newspapers – The Times, Telegraph, HuffPost, magazines including Cosmopolitan and Women’s Health and appearing on Radio 4 Women’s Hour, podcasts including You, Me and the Big C and TV including Made in Chelsea. I am a guest lecturer on an advanced relationship diploma and a guest speaker at schools and groups including FemSoc, in addition to hosted events.
