Dorchester Man Sentenced for Drugs and Human Trafficking

WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Woburn Chief of Police Robert Rufo have announced that Theodore Gamble Williams, 38, of Dorchester, has been sentenced to five years to five years and one day by Middlesex Superior Court Judge Patrick Haggan after being convicted by a Middlesex Superior Court Jury of trafficking of a person for sexual servitude and trafficking cocaine over 36 grams.

“This case exemplifies the harsh reality that human trafficking is happening. Victims are being controlled and used as commodities by their abusers,” said District Attorney Ryan. “As we seek to raise awareness about these cases it is critical that we hold those who profit from selling victims for sexual services accountable for their actions.”

On Friday, October 13, 2017, as part of an undercover investigation, the Woburn Police Department responded to an online advertisement on a website called “Skip the Games” that appeared to be selling sexual services. The undercover officer arranged to meet with a female at a hotel in Woburn. Upon arrival the 23-year-old female victim disclosed that the defendant and another man had driven her to the hotel that night. She further stated that these men controlled her, drove her to various locations for prostitution related activities and paid her little to nothing.

In the parking lot, authorities located Mr. Gamble-Williams and another male associate inside a van leased under Mr. Gamble-Williams’ name. Authorities searched the men and the motor vehicle and located nearly 100 grams of cocaine, as well as approximately $25,000 in cash.

This investigation was conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force, the FBI Crimes against Children and Human Trafficking Task Force, and Woburn Police.

The prosecutor assigned to this case is Whitney Williams. The Victim Witness Advocate is Helena Clarke.
