Accommodations at
Delaire Graff Owner’s Villa
The exclusive-use Villa’s bedrooms, one of them a Master’s Suite, were designed by London’s famed David Collins Studio, whose clients range from Jimmy Choo and Madonna to the remake of Harrods. Each of the bedrooms is graced with original artwork, a walk-in closet, all modern electronics, and each has its own private terrace looking out at the Winelands’ spectacular mountains and rolling vineyards (as we say, the Cape Winelands are “reminiscent of Northern California’s Wine Country—though the craggy mountains that shoot up from those vineyards make Sonoma and Napa’s look rather modest in comparison”).
Spread across two floors, with two bedrooms on each floor, the 7,100-square-foot Owner’s Villa features a grand pair of living rooms, a dining room (graced by a Julian Schnabel showstopper), a welcoming, gorgeously appointed kitchen, that spacious pool, a jacuzzi terrace, family room, and a fully-equipped gym. All meals, it almost goes without saying, are bespoke, prepared by the Villa’s chef and his staff to match the high Delaire Graff standard.
We could ramble on at length about the Owner’s Villa, but its artworks are among the many things that make it so resplendently unique. As Laurence Graff, one of the world’s most respected diamond magnates, and a treasured South African philanthropist, says, “Curating the art for the Owner’s Villa has been a very personal project. Among the remarkable displays of international talent are works by new and established African artists, demonstrating the immense wealth of creativity discovered across Africa and showcased and celebrated throughout Delaire Graff Estate.”
