As we look towards the future, we have a lot to celebrate! We are particularly excited about the diverse range of community impact and education programs that now have a permanent home at Allied Music Centre. When you name a seat in the Allan Slaight Auditorium, you are directly contributing towards our ability to continue offering these vital programs free of charge. Just imagine the students, emerging artists, and community groups who'll reap the benefits.

Seat Naming Opportunities

You can name a Massey Hall seat:

    • Seats and rows are available to be named at three levels:

    $500

    Regular Gallery or
    Balcony Seat

    $2,500

    Premium Balcony Seat or
    Regular Orchestra Seat

    $5,000

    Platinum First Row Balcony or
    Premium Orchestra Seat

    Gallery Seat
    Gallery seats have been designed to reflect the original 1894 style, a special tribute to the Hall’s historic roots. Seats have new enhanced comfort features elevating the patron experience in the uppermost level of the Allan Slaight Auditorium.

    Engraved plaques for Gallery level will be affixed to the seat-back.
    Balcony Seat
    A favoured spot for many patrons, balcony seats provide outstanding views. When seated in the balcony, the intimate atmosphere makes patrons feel as if they could reach down and touch the artist.

    Your dedication will be inscribed on a plaque and affixed on an armrest of a seat.
    Orchestra Seat
    Orchestra seats provide a direct sight line to the Allan Slaight Stage and are nestled amongst a collection of composer portrait stained glass windows. New Orchestra seats are also retractable with a horseshoe shaped parterre surrounding the perimeter of the floor.

    Your dedication will be inscribed on a plaque and affixed on an armrest of a seat.
    In recognition of your Seat Dedication, we are pleased to offer:

  • Charitable tax receipt for the full amount (In CAD per Canadian Revenue Agency guidelines)

    • Seat locations will be assigned following receipt of your donation and will be prioritized in the order of the date that donations are received. Staff will be in touch to confirm your seat location.

    Yes, a charitable tax receipt for the full amount will be issued digitally within two weeks of your Dedication.
    Seat selection is based on location (orchestra, balcony, or gallery) and type (regular or premium). Seats will be assigned based on the best available options by staff, following receipt and prioritized in the order received.
    Platinum seats offer first-row placement, providing the best possible view. In contrast, Premium seats are the Hall's most popular options within their selected locations, such as the orchestra, balcony, or gallery. Your Dedication will be assigned based on the best available options by staff and prioritized in the order received.
    Your Seat Dedication will be recognized for a 25-year period.
    We cannot guarantee the use of your dedicated seat at performances.
    Seat inscriptions can be up to three lines with a limit of 28 characters per line, including spaces.
    Seat plaques measure 3” (width) x 1” (height). For orchestra and balcony seats, plaques are affixed to the armrest, while for gallery seats, plaques are affixed to the back of the seat.
    Seat Dedications totaling $1,000 or more will be categorized as a donation. This means you will receive recognition on our Supporters webpage, in Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall annual reports, and on our Massey Hall donor wall. Upon purchasing your Dedication online, you will be asked for your Preferred Recognition Name.
    Group seat dedications can be allocated as a single purchase. After coordinating with your group to collect the necessary funds, complete the online Seat Dedication form to make the purchase under the preferred individual. If your contribution totals $1,000 or more, your group will be recognized as a Donor to the Halls. Please include your preferred group recognition name in the form.
