MULLET MADJACK is a single-player fast-paced FPS that brings you directly inside a CLASSIC ANIME. Power up your character and reach the last floor; Beat your best time or try again. Haste makes waste… OF YOUR ENEMIES!
With all that being said, should you play Mullet MadJack? The short answer – YES. The long answer – YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS! All jokes aside, if any of what I said sounds fun to you, give this a shot. Even if you don't like rogue-like games, I think you should give it a shot. I know I'm uniquely in the core of it's core demographic, both aesthetically and gameplay wise, but I think what is here is fun enough for just about anyone.
Mullet Madjack is Otakuland’s signature thrill ride. Requiring players to kill in order to stay alive, gameplay channels the intensity of speedruns, the fire fights of a first-person shooter, and the visceral finishers of DOOM. But just like a roller coaster, this jaunt through 90’s anime and VHS static can be a fleeting experience.
Mullet Madjack is a true love letter to '90s pop culture enthusiasts. The visuals are very appealing, the theme is well-developed, and the references are a treasure trove of surprises. Not to mention the soundtrack, which evokes nostalgic feelings of the good old arcade days.
Even though the story is a bit over-the-top, the Mullet Mad Jack’s self-awareness and humor, combined with its addictive and well-crafted gameplay, kept me thoroughly entertained.
It took me about four hours to play through Mullet Mad Jack and after about half of my playing time, I felt pretty fed up with the monotonous environments and the corridors that everything takes place in.
This game captured my attention the second I saw it. I perfected all the steam achievements and I still Can’t stop thinking about how addicting the gameplay was, really charming package all around and awesome gunplay with endless side content if you’re into endless shooters. Give this game a shot if you love anime and charming games that feel super personal. Give this a 10/10.
This Beautiful game with its 80s Anime style and Synthwave theme and music, really gave me a brain orgasm. If you wish to feel the same,
BUY THIS GAME.
Even if you HATE rogue-like games or fps games, you will LOVE this game.
Nailed the aesthetics and soundtrack, no doubt. The game kind of blows it's load in the first 10-20 minutes, though, as you've already seen basically everything the game has to offer. I became bored about halfway through the first level and uninstalled after I died on the second. I guess it's meant to appeal to the audience it's mocking.
