Bernie Sanders may be
ideal alternative to Biden

Re: “Has Joe Biden become an albatross for Democrats?” (Opinion section, Mercurynews.com, May 8):

Sen. Bernie Sanders gave up much too soon. Sure, he was behind in the primary, but former Vice President Joe Biden was far short of the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination, and he still is, since everything went on hold.

And now, Biden is facing the sexual assault allegations. Biden’s candidacy for president is anything but certain.

Bernie easily gave in to his opponent just like he did running against Hillary Clinton.

Personally, I’d welcome a Democratic president that gives in to Republicans, but we certainly can’t have a president who would give in to our adversaries, like China, Russia, North Korea and Iran. Nevertheless, Bernie may be the ideal alternative. Who knows what will happen between now and November?
