The Pleasanton Foothill Little League Major Angels defeated the A’s 2-0 at the Bernal Fields. Joshua Ott pitched a no hitter for Angels. Ott pitched to only 19 batters, one over the minimum, while striking out 14 and walking none.

The A’s pitching was nearly as good as the Angels only had three hits.

    San Ramon Little League

    Lewis Fromberg hit a two-run single for the Major Phillies in a 4-2 win over the White Sox.

    Ryan Wolf opened the scoring for the Phillies with an RBI single. Michael DeFoe stole home on a passed ball for the final Phillies run. Pitchers Cody Gerton and Trevor Heneweer combined for 10 strikeouts in the win. Jeremy Santos and Kai Affolter played strong defense.

    Gymfinity Gymnastics

    At the Western Level 9 National Championships, Valentina Barbalinardo scored 9.55 to win the Senior A Beam. Barbalinardo finished 11th overall, sixth on the vault and third on the bars.

    At the Senior C level Rain Sullivan finished fifth in the all around. Sullivan was also sixth on the vault. Jennifer Silver finished fifth on the Beam at the Senior D level.

    At the Flower Power Invitational Sarah Spence was fifth on the floor in the Bronze Younger group. In the older group, Ashley Cole was fifth in the all-around, floor and beam.

    In the Silver Younger group, Katie Haegele won the all-around, vault, beam and floor. Moira Andrews was second all around in the older group. Cheyenne Greenlee was fourth and Chelsea Werner placed eighth all around. Greenlee won on the bars and Andrews took the beam title.

    In the Gold division Kaylee Brist won the all around, vault and floor.

    In the Platinum younger division Gabriella Lemoine was third all around and first on the beam. In the older group Fernanda Van Atta was fourth all around and Jessica Fineran finished fifth.

    Malissa Shadle scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over ACC Mavericks. Makenna Elias and Shayla Simonich set up the winning goal. Christy Jensen and Samantha Vodanovich anchored the defense.

    Genna Pedrini went 2-for-2 for the Soaring Eagles in a 3-1 win over the Golden Wolves. Brooke George struck out the side with the bases loaded in the final inning to preserve the win. In a 10-2 win over the Wolves Melaina Barros struck out five and went 2-for-2.

    Mojo Softball

    The U-12 and U-14 teams each won the IFA Fastpitch Shootout. The U-14 team defeated East County in the final and the U-12 squad defeated Ripon 5-4 for the title.

    Rec bowling

    Matt Barroero rolled a 300 for his second perfect game in as many weeks at Earl Anthony’s Dublin Bowl. John Graff also had a perfect game to complement a 758 series.

    Lindsay Cadile led all women in league action with a 640 series. Aida Collado followed with a 627 and Kristen Avilla finished with a 617. Also eclipsing the 600 mark were Bonnie Tenorio (617) and Iris Luckey (603).

    Bill Harding led the seniors with a 640 series. John Hecita finished with a 615, Ann Lui rolled a 553 and Emeline Mullikin checked in with a 530 set.

    In RMJ Graphics — Lane 41 Pro Shop action Justin Bautista finished his four-gamer at 938. In Black Oak Classic Trios, Harvey Grasso led with a 724 series. Dave Rivera led league bowlers with a 290 game and 770 series. Also hitting the 700 mark were Al Bella, Will Scharnow, Earl Hughes, Jim Bell, Todd Winer, Randy Ortiz, Willie Broach, Fred Rivera, Scott Cooper and John Moore.
