Gloria R. Magistrado, a longtime resident of Pacifica for 47-plus years, peacefully passed away on April 26, 2011. Born on April 2, 1929, Gloria was originally from Cebu City, Philippines, and came to the United States in the early 1960s. She is the widow of Ricardo (“Dick”) Magistrado who passed on June 17, 1971, and is survived by her children, Rica Minnis and Anthony Magistrado and grandchildren, Jessica Minnis and Eneko Magistrado.
Gloria will be remembered as a devoted parishioner of Church of the Good Shepherd and die-hard SF Giants fan. Her 82 years were filled with love, happiness, peace and faith. Services to embrace and celebrate Gloria’s life will begin with a rosary memorial on Friday, May 13, 6:30 p.m. at Chapel By the Sea, 801 Oceana Blvd., Pacifica.
On Saturday, May 14, a funeral mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Good Shepherd, 901 Oceana Blvd. Immediately following the mass, Gloria will be reunited and laid to rest with Dick at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma.
In keeping with Gloria’s never-ending festive spirit, the Magistrado family will also be hosting a reception lunch, after the burial services, at Ristorante Rocca, 1205 Broadway, Burlingame, and all are welcome.
