Caltrans has begun repairing a storm-damaged section of Highway 1, just west of the intersection with Panoramic Highway.

The heavy winter storms of February caused a slip-out under a section of Highway 1 near Green Gulch Farm. Caltrans installed temporary repair measures until work on the permanent repairs could begin.

Repair work will be done during the day. The road will remain reduced to one lane at the damaged section. Flaggers will direct traffic in each direction.

At night, when no work is done, an automated one-way traffic control signal will be in operation.

The work is expected to last until late July or early August. Drives are advised to allow extra time and to exercise patience.
