Sun Valley wins its sixth game to maintain first in District 52 Juniors Division. Seven runs in the first was all they needed, as pitchers Teddy Keil and Nate Baca combined for a one-hitter. Kiel, with eight strikeouts, set down his first eight batters before giving up the lone hit in the third. Baca then sealed the win by striking out six of eight batters he faced. SV’s defense included an over the head catch by Andre D’Cunha and diving catch by Marcel Larrarte. Offensive stars were Alex Ajlouny with a double and two RBIS, Charlie Yaish a single and two RBIs and Mitchell Peterson and Larrarte both with doubles.

Highlanders 0

Sun Valley made it number seven as its pitching and defense shut down the Highlanders. Austin Youngdale, Andre D’Cunha and Chris Fernandez combined to pitch a three hit shutout as SV’s offense scored seven runs in the first to seal the win early. Offensive contributors were Peterson with a grand slam, Baca and Thompson and Chase Edgington with two hits, Larrarte, Yaish and James Williams with singles.

Sun Valley capped off a double header, winning its eighth straight to maintain. Keil, Thompson and Baca were stellar as they baffled the RWC hitters combining for a one hit shutout. The SV offense stole the show however, scoring 11 in the fist and never looking back. SV’s offense was led by Peterson and Yaish with bases clearing triples. Edgington and Thompson had two singles each, Baca with a single andgtwoswalks, Ajlouny, Fernandes, Larrarte and Keil each with singles.

Dial Glass Red Sox 10

Lou Piccolotti A’s 0

The Red Sox shut out the A’s, who were missing several players. Jeremy David hit a two RBI double. Mikell Cosino and Aiden McAllister added powerful two-base hits. Defensively, Sincere Jackson was a standout at first base with an unassisted double play to end the third. Overall, he was involved in six outs. Brian Bodecker was strong at third and closed out the game with a nine pitch inning.

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department Cubs 5

The Red Sox continued their winning ways with Zane Hovermale hitting three for three, Austin Butterworth and Sincere Jackson hitting two for three. Dan Constantine and Aidan McAllister added triples. Dylan Drain added an RBI single and Jack Meadow cracked a beauty into center field. Bodecker, McAllister, Constantine, and Cosino struck out 16 batters, collectively.

Papa Murphy’s Rangers 2

JC Engineering Giants 2

Aries Love started out the pitching for the Rangers with only 3 pitches in the first inning and Sam Hernandez did an awesome job as catcher. Ranger’s Gio Tomei then came in as pitcher as he struck out three batters in the four. JJ Dominguez connected well with Kaiden Chapman on first base to get many outs throughout the game. Cesar Herrera came in the seventh and did an outstanding job. In the eighth Herrera made a great play at home plate to stop the Giants from scoring and taking the lead. Then Scotty Tomei came in and finished out the ninth not letting the Giants score any runs.
