ANTIOCH — A Modesto man was arrested Monday and his cousin is being sought in connection with a drive-by shooting in March that left a car riddled with bullets, police said.

Police served a search warrant at the home of Keenan Lawson, 25, and took him into custody. They have identified his cousin, 30-year-old Antioch resident Jjuan Sanders, as the second shooter and are looking for him. He is believed to be staying in the Antioch and Pittsburg area.

On March 26, Lawson and Sanders argued with a 51-year-old Antioch man at a local nightclub over the man’s recent break-up with their female relative, police said. The man left and got into his car when a vehicle drove by, and both of its occupants opened fire, striking the car several times.

The victim, who escaped uninjured, recognized his attackers as Lawson and Sanders, police said. When Lawson was arrested Monday, investigators found a gun in his vehicle.
