Mariam Elle de Guzman, first year at Oceana High, won a gold and a silver at the UC Berkeley 42nd Taekwondo Tournament held last month at the Haas Pavillion of UC Berkeley. The UC Berkeley Tournament is the most prestigious and hardest in all the tournaments this year as it is attended by around 500 participants. It was her fourth gold medal, as she won three tournaments last year and was given an honor and trophy by her mother club, Yong in Martial Arts.
