The cool, wet spring brought with it some benefits. Joan Gigliati of Livermore says her rhododendron have never looked lovelier. The plant is more than 10 years old, but it has produced the most blooms and the prettiest flowers that she has seen. Rhodies and their close cousins, azaleas, prefer a well-draining soil with a high pH level, often making them unsuitable for our clay soils. Do you have something special to share?
