SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT — A portion of San Francisco International Airport’s new Terminal 2 was evacuated early Tuesday morning, an airport spokesman said.
A fire alarm was activated about 6:30 a.m., prompting the evacuation of the lobby area in Terminal 2, SFO spokesman Mike McCarron said.
It was a false alarm, McCarron said, and it appeared to have been caused by a mechanical error.
“It wasn’t a big deal at all,” McCarron said.
No one was injured, and no flights were delayed.
