The Diekroeger brothers — Woodside natives Kenny and Danny — each drove in two runs as the 25th-ranked Stanford baseball team won its sixth in a row, an 11-4 win over visiting UC Davis (15-27) on Tuesday.

Danny, a freshman, had a two-run single as part of a four-run third, while Kenny, a sophomore, drove in runs in the third and seventh innings. Both brothers are Menlo School-Atherton grads.

Stephen Piscotty went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Tyler Gaffney drove in runs in the third and the five-run fourth inning as Stanford built a 9-1 lead.

Austin Wilson extended his hit streak to 11 games with three hits as Dean McArdle (7-2) picked up his second straight midweek win. The righthander gave up one run on six hits through the first six, before giving up four hits and a two-run pinch hit homer to Spencer Bran in the seventh. He finished by giving up four runs (three earned) over 6 1/3 innings.

The Cardinal got on the board in the third with four runs off starter Harry Stanwyck (1-3), as an RBI single by Tyler Gaffney got things started, before a two-run single by Piscotty made it 3-0. An RBI groundout by Kenny Diekroeger capped the first of two big rallies.

Stanford (27-16) added five runs in the fourth to lead 9-1.

Piscotty’s RBI single in the fourth made it 6-1, chasing Stanwyck. The first eight runs were credited to Stanwyck as Stanford sent 11 men to the plate off of two Aggies. Reliever Ryan Lucas then surrendered a two-run single by Danny Diekroeger followed by an RBI single from Lonnie Kauppila to make it 9-1.
