Fox’s Brit Hume Says Biden’s Lengthy Debate Practice Is Getting Him ‘Mega Prepped’ for Battle with Trump

Fox News Chief Political Analyst Brit Hume said President Joe Biden is getting “mega prepped” ahead of the debate against former President Donald Trump.

Biden and Trump will have their first debate on Thursday in Atlanta. The president has been preparing for the event with a host of aides at Camp David for about a week. Trump has also been prepping, though he is reportedly shunning mock debates and instead is having policy briefings with Republican lawmakers.

On Wednesday’s Special Report on Fox News, Bret Baier asked Hume about the amount of time Biden has been preparing.

“Have you ever seen a president getting ready for a first debate… prepping like this president is for so long and holed away at Camp David?” the host asked. ”

“Well, normally, you do have to bone up to some extent to remember details, but what this president is going through is quite unusual because the president, by the very nature of his or her job – his job so far – is cognizant of the details of these major issues,” Hume replied. “You have to deal with them all the time. So, this level of preparation is unusual.”

Hume went on to say that the president is “pretty old and his memory is not so good.”

“So, they’re obviously trying to get him mega prepped in the hope that he can get through this encounter with Donald Trump and look like a vibrant man,” he continued. “Whether he’ll be able to do that, of course, is I think one the big things we’re gonna be watching for tomorrow night.”
