‘I Am a Dissident!’ Trump Calls Biden ‘Threat to Democracy’ In CPAC Rant Over Indictments and Al Capone

Former President Donald Trump claimed he was a “political dissident” being prosecuted by a “gang of thugs” during his speech at CPAC on Saturday.

The Republican frontrunner visited CPAC on Saturday to deliver remarks ahead of South Carolina GOP primary against Nikki Haley. Trump claimed President Joe Biden was a “threat to democracy” because he was behind the criminal prosecutions against Trump.

He also compared himself to the notorious mobster, Al Capone, claiming “this gang of thugs” has indicted him more than than “scarface.”

Trump faces four criminal indictments in four different jurisdictions for a variety of charges, including his attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election and his handling of classified material at his Mar-a-Lago estate after leaving the White House.

Because the fact is, Joe Biden is a threat to democracy. He really is a threat to democracy. I stand before you today, not only as your past and hopefully future president, but as a proud political dissident. I am a dissident.

Remember this: I’ve been indicted more than Alfonse Capone, Mr. President. Do you know who that is? Even the president just said I do. Scarface, Al Capone. If he had dinner with you and he didn’t like the smile on your face, he thought you were mocking him by smiling, you would be dead before you got home and said hello to your wife. And Alphonse Capone I have. I got indicted four times by this gang of thugs for nothing.

Or, as I say respectfully to the people from foreign countries for bullshit.
