Trump Dunks on Biden for Referring to Him as the Vice President: ‘Great Job, Joe!’

'Absolutely! Whether He's In Or Not!' Biden Tells Reporters He's Committed To Debate Trump Again — Suggests Trump Won't Show

Donald Trump was quick to pounce on President Joe Biden after he mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump” at his NATO press conference on Thursday.

“Look, I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president [inaudible] think she was not qualified to be president, so let’s start there,” Biden said at one point.

“Crooked Joe begins his ‘Big Boy’ Press Conference with, ‘I wouldn’t have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president.’ Great job, Joe!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Biden’s flub came when he was answering the first question of his press conference, his first in months. The press conference has drawn an unusual amount of attention as the president is facing calls to drop his reelection campaign over growing concerns about his stamina and age. The president flubbed Trump’s name when he was answering a question on whether he believed Harris could defeat the former president in November — in a scenario where she replaced Biden at the top of the ticket.

“The fact is that the consideration is that I think I’m the most qualified person to run for president. I beat him once and I’ll beat him again,” the president said at his press conference.

He also drew attention for mixing up Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the day, something he laughed off later. At the press conference, Biden laughed off the mistake, which he quickly fixed, and called the NATO summit “one of the most successful” he’s attended in years.

Trump followed up his post with two other quick moments where Biden briefly stumbled over his words.

Biden has insisted he’s staying in the race and lashed out at party “elites” trying to push him out of the nomination.
