Half of voters believe Donald Trump should end his presidential campaign after his guilty verdict in his Manhattan hush money trial.

According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday, 49% think Trump should suspend his campaign after he was found guilty of more than 30 felony counts. The former president was accused of falsifying business records to hide hush money payments to cover up an affair just before the 2016 presidential election.

Among Independents, 52% believe that Trump’s conviction was proper and that he should end his campaign. Among Democrats and Republicans, the results are predictably partisan. For Democrats, more than 80% say Trump should drop his campaign over the charges, while less than 20% of Republicans say the same.

The new survey found people are fairly split on the Trump case overall with 47% saying the charges against Trump were politically motivated and 38% saying they were not.

Overall, 50% believe Trump’s guilty verdict was correct, while 27% say it was not and 23% are not sure. Ipsos noted that the results found were similar to those nearly a year ago, signifying Trump’s trial has not significantly moved the needle with voters.

The ABC/Ipsos survey was conducted May 31-June 1 among more than 780 adults. It carries a margin of error of 3.7%.
