Former President Donald Trump, his ex-attorney Rudy Giuliani, and his former chief of staff Mark Meadows are all unindicted co-conspirators in a Michigan case pertaining to the threesome’s attempt to steal the 2020 presidential election from Joe Biden.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced last summer that she was bringing criminal charges against all 16 of the “fake electors” who signed certificates falsely stating that they were the true electors tasked with casting the state’s 16 electoral votes.

“The false electors’ actions undermined the public’s faith in the integrity of our elections and, we believe, also plainly violated the laws by which we administer our elections in Michigan,” said Nessel in a statement at the time, characterizing the scheme as “an organized effort to circumvent the lawfully cast ballots of millions of Michigan voters in a presidential election.”

In court on Wednesday, one of Nessel’s lieutenants revealed that Trump, Giuliani, and Meadows were all unindicted co-conspirators in the case while fielding questions from one of the defendant’s lawyers.

The former president, Giuliani, and Meadows were also all indicted in Georgia last year for their respective roles in attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Meadows has been charged with violating Georgia’s RICO act and attempting to get a public officer to violate their oath. Giuliani has been charged with that latter count as well as making false statements, soliciting false testimony, and conspiring to create phony paperwork. Trump faces a total of 10 counts in the Peach State.

The news of the former president’s connection to the Michigan case comes as he navigates another criminal trial in New York, where he has been charged with falsifying business records in connection with hush money he is alleged to have paid out to three people with knowledge of his extramarital affairs. Trump faces two additional impending federal trials, with one pertaining to the 2020 election and another pertaining to his improper retention of classified documents after leaving the White House.
